I've been noticing for a while now that it doesn't seem to matter what tune I have or how I drive, my truck ALWAYS seems to get between 15 & 16.5. I got 16.x going to and from Indianna on Saturday @ about 70. Stock ride height, 265's. What could affect it and what I should check? I've got what appears to me to be a lot of blowby (I can see a bunch of "mist" coming from the PCV Reroute tube, the oil fill if I pull the cap, an oil slick on the frame by the end, and I can always smell the blowby). I can't do a compression test as Glow Plug 5 won't deaprt the head. All balance rates are "within spec". Any thoughts?

What kind of mileage do you get in the summer? Its probably a winter fuel issue.

Just a few simple things , MAF sensor cleaning , clean air filter, fuel filter , check for small boost leaks . Only things i can think of at the moment .

I normally get 16ish MPG when I am going about 75 it gets way better around 55... I can get like 20 crusing at 55 with no tune and all stock except blocker plate..

Air filter and fuel filter should help, do you run diesel kleen through it regularly? if not try that too

My junk gets 15-16 around town. Like eco said, drop it to 55 (not) and it goes up to 20 or so.

With the blow by issue, is there a lot of diesel in the oil??

My truck is the same it doesn't matter how I drive or which tune I run it gets the same mpg. I get around 15 in town and between 17-18 on the highway. I can't believe there is this much difference with these trucks.
