I didn’t get to spend nearly as much time as I wanted to at the monuments but it’s something I got to check off the bucket list. I’ll need to come back with fam and actually hit the museums.

Walked the Korean and Vietnam memorials, Lincoln, Washington, stopped at the white house (regardless of the president, that building is iconic), walked by the department of interiors, octagon, and other monuments before my phone was about out of juice and no store would let me plug in to charge for 5-10 min. So it was then phone battery roulette to see if the Lyft driver would get to me before the phone died

I paid my respects and am grateful to have made it there to see what I saw.

I've never been to DC but my wife has. She spent a week and didn't even see everything. Which is crazy because she can just walk around the museum and be done. I gotta read damn near everything...lol

With my son's condition I dont know that we'll ever make it there, but I'd love to at some point in time.

The amount to see there is nuts in such a small area. It’s very cool

I have never been there before. What is the area that your standing at that says Arizona?

That’s the World War Two monument. Between the Washington monument and Lincoln monument

I'm not sure what I'm seeing. Did that little kid break his rear suspension on purpose and they denied his registration or safety check or something? Do people really modify their trucks to look like that

Free car wash for everyone! 😁
Yes. They do it on purpose. In extreme cases they will do like a 6"+ lift in the front and leave the rear stock. It has lots of names Squatted, Carolina Squat, Callie Lean, Bulldog, and etc. South Carolina made it illegal.

I think the trucks are retarded, but a new law is even stupider. Surely they could have wrote those people tickets for breaking an existing law if it was such a hazard.

There are several laws But I am not versed in Carolina specific laws.

They can get them for lighting violation's because the head lights are no longer aimed properly and there is not enough adjustment in the factory ones. They can get them on the frame/ suspension modifications for not getting it recertified. They can get them for the wheels extending pass the body with no flares and/or no mud flaps.

If they really wanted to, They could tow the vehicle for being Unsafe and require that it not be driven until the violations are fixed. Then they would have to have it towed from the tow yard home or to a repair shop...

The problem is, alot of them are minor violations like fix a ticket sort of things and in some cases, you can just pay a fine with out actually fixing the issue.

You could get lawyers to fight it for harassments and so on... At least with a law, as dumb as the law is, this is easier for them to enforce and get rid of said vehicles....

That being said, some idiot posted on face book about the ball joint breaking on his truck and starting his day off wrong. By looking at his mostly bald tires on his offset wheels you could see he had issues for a while and never addressed it. It's funny how he was quick to call it a Chevy problem and a poor design even though he modified the truck and didn't properly maintain it. In a later post, he admits he didn't have the money to fix it properly the last time and continued to operate it that way...

You Can Not Fix Stupid, Only What Stupid Does.

or at least you can try and fix what stupid does....

You guys been making me want an LLY with all this electronics fun. So I've been cruising the bookface market and craigslist. I was thinking, in addition to being able to use it as a test bed for repairs and possible open source home brew FICM, making it a light stripped down fast truck. My current truck is way too heavy to ever be worth putting too much go fast parts on it.

So, in my browsing I ran across this truck.

Seller claims he put a lien on it due to some kinda no show at his shop or "buyer"???. Not sure if he worded that right. But if the paperwork looks good....

$8500 a good price? I'll probably smoke the trans in a few months 😁. So a trip out to Anaheim may be in order. Then I'll have to decide how hard I want to push the motor and if I should invest in rods & even pistons, injectors, bigger snail. Money pit.... 😂. Maybe I'll try and make into the DPC. That's been one of my dreams for years. What do you think? Good candidate? Price?

I don't have a Facebook account so I'd have to go through my brother for contacting the seller.

Anyways. Here is a screenshot of the listing and some photos of the truck

He is saying he tried to sell it and the buyer was a no show. But as a repair shop, It has a lien.

Likely because the previous owner could not afford to fix it.

Look again, It looks like it has and LB7 in it...

That's how I read it too but he didn't make it really clear.

I'm not really familiar with the LLY. I thought they basically looked the same as an LB7 until you got up close and could see the injectors and FICM differences. Other then that is there any tail tail signs in that picture that definitely indicates it's an LB7? Otherwise it does look identical to my previous LB7 that I had.

Edit: looking at a few more photos of an LLY engine bay I can see the difference in how the resonator connects to the intake. This one definitely looks more like an LB7. So probably a 2004 and not 05

See the Blue pipe on the Driver side That is LB7 Specific. My LLY has a hard pipe on it that is aluminum. Also that air resonator Looks like the LB7 unit.
