Hi, I'm new and i need advice..

I have a 07 silverado hd 2500 duramax 6.6 lit.
The weather has been cold in nj and i was having a hard time starting it.

So i had it jump started, when they connected the cables to their truck they put them on wrong, but they were connected correctly on my side..
Anyway now the speedometer does not work, the rpms are 3 and it doesn't upshift in drive.. Did this cause transmission damage?

If you mean swap the trans out in the event your ECM/TCM were fried, a new transmission will not be necessary.

My apologies if I am not understanding your question though.
