Do they offer a transition assistance program at the naval station where you are? I'm going through one right now, and it has some good info for anyone leaving the military.

i have done TAPs, DTAPs (med discharge) VAAPs as well.

print off some jop app for freeport/mcmoran.

their shop sup runs 6X,000 a year, full med, dental, health, 401k, PTO 20-30 days, new truck every 3 years and double as a personal truck, tool allowance (~1500 every year) bed liner, under coating, retirement is 30y or 62yo.. stock holder, pofirt sharing and more.
IF i land somehting with them could be retired by 56 :D

alot of their stuf is in AZ UT and NM and iirc they are a fortune 500 company as well. WyoTech is on thier school scholarship as well :D

a rock quarries... basicly the same thing:rofl:

I have worked on the same stuff Travis for a Caterpillar dealer and I have worked in "rock quarries". Both weren't bad. The thing with mining is they are generally heavy union so NOTHING gets done quickly! All day to remove a wheel from a 797 Rock Truck!
