My built motor came to life today, at 12:42:13 PM (Pacific Time)!

Talk about a good feeling when I heard it light off for the first time in over 2 years :woott:

Noticed a trans cooler fitting leaking, and went to tighten it, and busted the radiator end tank, though.

Now for a lunch break, then off to town to get a new radiator.

And don't worry, I will be posting a full build thread (with pics) in the coming week or two, as soon as I get all my notes organized.

I remember when I fired up my 355 for my 71 for the first time. Pretty sure I smiled for 2 days straight

Going through my 04 LB7 right now. Sent it to a local shop to do injectors again they told me no compression in two cylinders. They told me I needed some head work, but I did not talk specifics with them because of what they were going to be charging. By the way I am located in Alabama. I am doing the build myself. Any info you could provide would be fantastic? Thanks

Sadly, all head work is expensive on the Duramax. I tried several times to get a regular performance shop to work on Duramax heads, with no luck. Ended up being about the same price to just get SoCal heads. I'll put more details in the build thread. Sorry I can't be more help.
What turbo or turbos?
Dave will correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the S371 he's been running.
Yep, Trent's S371 kit. Though it has been modified a few times to fit a bit better and work with new parts.

With the price of a socal head job it doesn't make sense not to do it.
