Okay, about 3 weeks ago I was driving, had been cruising in high gear for a while. Came to a stop @ a light and my truck didn't want to take off. I pulled into the next store and put it into M, the (4) was lit up. The reverse would still work. I shut the truck off, put it in gear, started to take off as if in first gear, then felt like it went into neutral, then it slammed into gear again, except it is in 4th gear. I limped to to my friends shop and he pulled the codes that both selanoids B and C were stuck. I went home and tore the transmission apart and upgraded it to the PPE stage V and a percison ML converter. Got it all back togeather today, took it for a ride, shifted up thru the gears fine. Then when I stopped and turned around it started in 1st, then same neutral feeling, then slammed into 4th again. This sems to be a unique problem after doing as much research as possible. Im wondering if it could be bad selanoids? possibly picking up some debris I missed while rebuilding? or if I should be looking for something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm starting to have truck withdrawals..........

I took the valve body all apart to drill the holes, one of the valves seemed stuck and I even cleaned some crap out of it, I figured this may have been the problem. Everything I saw looked fairly good. I'm hoping its a valvebody issue, really wasnt fun pulling the tranny w/o a lift....

Need codes. I am suspecting E shift valve was stuck if there was a lot of debris in the trans.

Mike. I left you a message on your cell phone. I did some research before pulling apart and suspected that selanoid "e" was stuck also. When we got the codes off it was b and c both stuck on. I'll have it scanned again. Do you think there is a possibility that I simply missed some crap and it more or less instantly re stuck? I tore the valve body all apart and mades sure I cleaned it well and used lint free rags on it.

Give me codes, not your explanation of them. Give them to me in the succession they came out. It makes a difference.

Mike. I'll have to have them re scanned, I appreciate your help. I wrote it down but they are in my truck 15 miles away. If it helps you brainstorm tot he best of my knowledge it went "Selanoid B stuck on" and "Selanoid C stuck on" which would be codes 0757 and 0762. I will have then re-read, and write down the order and get back to you. Which is the best way to reach you???

Drained the oil, dropped the pan and took the valve body out, same valve that was stuck before was re-stuck, fairly sure it was "c" forgot to make a good mental note of it. shifts great now, deffinatly will need a good flushing after I put some miles on it. Mike, what was your final recomendation on what to run for oil in a built transmission?
