I've been searching the forums about using wastegates on twin turbos and from what I'm reading I'm thinking it isn't necessary. Looking for some feedback from people with twin turbo setups. I'm building the kit for my 2011 lml using gt4094r with 1.06 turbine housing and s484 with 1.10 turbine housing. Looking to use stock injectors for now since I've read they flow more. I have twin fueler and lift pump to support the fuel demands and pro fab manifolds and up pipes. I was originally going to do motor build to support 1000 hp but the more I read the more I think I should try 650 and go from there. That's why I'm not sure if I would need the wastegate on lower power.

The 1.1 will work fine at your hp goal and should help spool up a little. The wastegate is not needed at that power level and air flow. Just my 2 cents.

The waste gate is a tool. Simply having one doesn't fix or cure anything. It needs to be tuned to work right. The system in itself is tuned with waste gates and turbine selection. Needed? No! Is it a necessity to perform it's absolutely best? Yes it is.

So it sounds like it will work without the wastegate but if I want be able to get the turbos to be used in the optimal range of the compressor map install a wastegate or even 2. 1 before each turbo.
