I figure I get about 14 mpg on the freeway. Is this typical. I travel about 85 miles a day and use up about quarter tank average speed is 75 and then I took a 260 mile trip this last weekend used 3/4 of a tank. Going 85 mph. Both times with cruse on. Is this what people are seeing in there trucks or does this seam low. I thought I was getting better mpg than this but just did the math and seams really low

That seems low. When I went to school, I would drive 82 miles a day almost all of it was highway at around 70-75mph. I could fill my tank up and drive to and from school monday-friday and still have a little under a 1/4 tank left for moday. I never hand calculated anything but id assume my average was definetly higher than 14mpg

85 is too fast to expect good fuel economy out of that 5 speed. My LB7 averaged 18mpg but that was with minimal city driving and keeping highway speeds at 70mph.

75& 85 kills mileage. Try 65 and see what happens

6 years ago with my 05 on 265's on stock wheels got 18mpg on the way to Minnesota and 19mpg on the way back. I was going between 75-85mph. All highway. That was with the Diablo Predator tuner on 65hp. Now have EFI Live and average 13mpg but mostly country roads and I don't generally drive slow.

I routinely see 21 running 70, but I have been told mine is on the better side for MPG's. How you accelerate up to speed plays a HUGE role in how good your MPG's is, as well as how much you have to stop and go.
