My question is, On the Hypertech III tuner (older style) where the 9 pin connector screws into the top of the hand unit, one of the little female threaded things that the cable screws into fell out. I can still screw in one side but, I was wondering if anyone had this happen to them, and if so , did it still work? any communication problems during programming?

I don't see why it would cause a problem. post a picture to show the degree of the damage please

I'm not familiar with that but, I'm assuming it's like a DE9 connector on the back of your computer.....Kind of D shaped 5 pins in one row, 4 in the other.

If so no biggie at all as long as it maintains a solid connection. If the standoff that broke or fell off was the kind like on the back of a computer, you can even buy those standoffs or steal one off of something.

The standoff is not threaded like the ones on the back of a computer these are pressed in. I will try to post a pic later.
