Is EFI (V2) complete, ready to go straight out of the box?

When Ross and the boys gets V2 Stand-alone running and bug free, how long before the update makes it on the CD that comes with it? Or is the CD just the basics, and you have to get the latest version off Internet as soon as you receive it to get it to work?
Reason I am asking is, I have dial-up and it is not too trust worthy.
I tried to download the EFI demo about a year and a half ago, Total Time: 8hr-40min. (F-That) I had one if the IT guys at work the next day download it to CD and I loaded it to the home computer form the CD.
Can an outside source download the updates, as like described above with the demo, to CD for me, or do the updates need to recognize a serial number prompted from the EFI software?
How big are the update files?

Sorry for all of questions, just trying to get a feel for this issue.

Thanks,
jc

I'm sure that if you buy v2 from McRat Racing. Either, Pat or Kat can make sure that the updates are put on a CD-r for you so you won't have to struggle through the tortures of dial-up.

Another option is that we are all over the country so chances are you might be close to another member and be able to get the update from them in CD for.
