LLY: Is 142k too late?

Is 142k miles too late to do the egr delete and pcv reroute? Would like to make this truck last. Would also like to get a little mileage gain too. Thanks.

No its not too late.

It's not too late, but your intake tract is definately all gummed up with soot and oil. It really makes a nasty mess. But it's still good to know you aren't putting any more exhaust into your engine.

Well I guess I'll start accumulating parts.

I just did one with 206,000 so its never too late. Just take the time to pull everything off and clean it.

Cleaning the gunk out of entire intake well would need heads removed.


Like everyone else said it's never too late, but it would really benefit a new or fresh overhauled engine.
