I have the ipod connection through the cigarette outlet from Radio Shack. There is an aftermarket radio on my 02' and it simply goes off a blank FM station. The problem is static. I realize you must find the most blank station possible but when my headlights come on, it's ridiculous. I have the low beam/fog HID's all wired together and it creates an unbelievable amount of static through the radio. Any ideas how to fix it? Or any other ipod connection ideas?

I guess you could see about putting a noise filter in the cig power wire. I have the same problem when I plug my PDA in and use it to listen to music through my stereo and it's plugged into the power. But when it's unplugged it works fine. No noise.

I have a Nukleus Ipod connector box thingy. Connects between the Satelite box behind the glove copartment and the radio. Real simple install, but you have to have had XM from factory to make it work. I think I paid $90 for mine slightly used.

I have an ipod connection on the rear of my pioneer head unit, I ran the connection under the console and have the ipod hidden under the drink tray of the console. The headunit controls the ipod functions, pretty slick setup. The ipod connection cost around $50.00

Do you have your stock radio, and all the lights still work on it? If so I have a sony with ipod control, usb, and aux input I might would trade.

I hardwired an aux input for my ipod into my stock 03 Cd player using the tape deck audio wires inside the deck, wouldn't mind trying the same on my 01 with a stock radio.

Many aftermarket HID transformers will make noise, and the radio is going to pick it up, and the bandwidth of FM is roughly 30Hz to 15kHz ( less than CD quality ) so a direct connection would be the best bet. I am looking at the USA-Spec adapter so I can connect my iPod/iPhone to my factory 6 disc in-dash radio. Just one of many things on my list to get for the beast.
