Ipod adaptor to charge through stereo

So, ive got an AVH-P5000DVD pioneer deck in my truck and got an iTouch two years back. Well my iPod hook up for the pioneer unit wont charge it (doesnt help i never drove the truck for a year and have not driven it much since its been running). i know they changed the damn firewire on them so they wont charge that way no more but question is, is there any adaptors anymore that will plug into them? im behind on the times i know, but i used my old iPod all the time before so never needed it. problem is, now the old iPod is shot lol.

id hate to have to upgrade the whole damn deck as its been a great deck and dont feel like droppin a bunch of coin for no reason other than the iPod charging issue

I bought an adapter for about $3.00 on ebay for my Alpine. Been working fine for about 3 years now.

All I did was went to my Alpine dealer, asked them what I needed(they wanted $50 for theirs), and I got the part number off it. Then I just searched ebay. :thumb:

whats the part number? i dont see why the end adaptors for the ipod part would be different from maker to maker as they all have to fit an ipod, no?
