I have a local service, "West Central Wireless", the service is really good pretty much wherever I am, and the fact that we have 10 - 11 phones thru them on our account, we get a pretty good rate.

Case is metal front screen is glass, its pretty hard to tear up. They sell tons of cases for them... I have a lo pro rubber cover that protects the back and sides of mine and I drop it all the time, still fine.

I've got one of these in anticipation of buying an I-Phone but that ain't gonna happen so if someone wants my cover, give me your address and it's in the mail COD.

I really like my Iphone, I use the map function quite a bit at work. I also have about 700 songs and have only used up half the memory. I don't like not being able to forward texts or recieve picture texts and the battery doesn't last long between 3 and 400 charge cycles is normal i've read, I'm interested to see what the iphone2 will have, mine may get handed down to the wife then

iNot a big fan of iPhone. iNever had one, though only people I know that do, are the kind of people I dont want to be or be like (none of you guys, just people at my last job). @ thier price, iCouldnt see myself buying one. i'LL just stick to my current flip phone, which has lasted me nearly 2 years now, and still in the running. iWish I could get a picture of my flipper, it has served me well--- iHave used it as a bottle opener, iDrop it daily, and iT still works just fine. Only complaint is that some of the keys are wearing off, though its simple enough to know what buttons they are.

Yeah, I know, you iPhoners dont have keys. That is one sweet feature IMO.

Leave it to Apple to lead the way.

(All said and done, even though I do not really like the iPhone, I have been a Mac user for most of my life, though this message is being typed from a PC)

OK I wasn't able to charge my phone for 7 days. Now it seems the battery won't charge at all  This is the 2nd time this has happened the other time it just stopped charging.

What sucks is you can't even use it if it is plugged in. I'm trying to make a backup prior to it dying compeltely.

I hate that! If you kill it pretty good you have to let it sit connected for at least like a half hour before it even shows charging on the screen! Apple says something about charging its internal battery or something.....

Kat also I picked up this lil adapter that plug into the bottom of the iphone and hooks up to a 9 volt battery.... plug it in and in 20 minutes the iphone goes from dead to 30% battery! :D

I wonder how Apple landed themself with more battery issues... I am sure the iPhone battery is similar if not the same as the ones in the iPods, though the iPod product line has not had battery issues like the above mentioned for a good 3-4 years now (I had one of the 2nd generation IIRC iPods and it had battery issues like these)...

You'd think Apple would get some better tech for a brand new product-

I still love mine - posting from it now :D

Thing I don't like about mine (not a 3g) is that I can't my music from work computer to phone then unload them on my laptop. I hate that!!

wow you guys are way too high tech for me. Id get lost trying to use one of those fancy things... Every one of my friends who has iphones has dropped them or otherwise broken them... Id feel silly using one too, the places I go. Ive had the same LG vx6100 (I think thats what it is) for over 4 years, the original battery still lasts days, and its fallen out of my truck driving multiple times. Its fallen off the roof when I was roofing, and gotten submerged in salt water a few times too..

I guess Im just a stick in the mud when I say, "um...hello...its a phone. If it calls people, receives calls, text messages, and takes the occasional low quality picture, im happier than a pig in a pile of poop"

:D

Im not gonna lie tho, I finally played around with one of my friend's iphones a little while ago, and it was pretty cool with all the gee-whiz features and effects. Keyboard was clumsy but I guess you have to get used to it...?

Just my own technologically-slow oppinion. I used to be a huge dork ALL up on this stuff, played computer games, would sit and fine tune my surround sound gaming speakers, read all the latest computer tech updates to make sure my computer wasnt out of date yet. I guess when I bought the truck I lost interest in all that stuff. Who would want to spend time in their nvidia control panel tweaking their shader and anti-aliasing setting when they could be out blowing the doors of corvettes with a 7600 lb truck. In the past 3 years I think my computer (that I built a while ago to be super fast) has run ms word, powerpoint, itunes, IE, and instant messanger. And efilive.

Exactly. I need it to make calls, not dinner. I loose or smash at least 2 phones a year so it would do me no good. Last phone got run over with one of our dump trucks.
