So surfin around best buy last night lookin for some goodies in trade for some stuff a buddy wants (he works at best buy and offered to get tme stuff form there instead of cash, said hell yeah!) and i come across a viper remote start using your iPhone or iTouch! It pretty sweet, you can start your truck anywhere from any distance using satalite. Thought it was pretty sweet till i saw you gotta pay 30 bucks a year to use it. why would i wanna switch over to that when my free key fob works jsut as great and the 1/4 mile range is more than ill need. Ill bet it will be like another xm radio deal, everyone gets one till prices start gettin jacked up. oh well though it was pretty cool idea. anyone one got one lol??

heres a link http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Viper+-...lack/9516348.p?id=1218117577658&skuId=9516348

I have a Clifford and that iphone thing can just hook right into it. Not worth it to me imo.

Now if it had a gps locator... :D

This is what I know. I own the 5901 from Viper. It is a great system for sure. My shop guy told me about the iPhone app and module when it frist came out.
You have to have a data plan from ATand T for the app to work, so that is your $30 a year. if you have an iPhone with no data plan then you can not use it. You can check the status on your vehicle from anywhere, start it, roll down windows etc from across the country if you so desire. It uses the Cell signal, not satellite. Also, if you do not have signal on your phone, neither does your truck.

Is it worth it? I dont think so, but if money is not object, it is for sure a sweet toy!
