Into a 54 ???

So I inherited this truck for free! Thought it would be fun to trans a duramax into it ... Just cause it would be cool IMO !
Is there a wiring harness you can buy? Is there a easier year to swap than others. My plan is to buy a whole wreaked truck and steal the parts I need!

Wow I love the idea I hope you do it and keep us posted.LB7 would be the cheapest and probably the easiest to swap.That motor trans was made for 4 years and should be plentiful,but any wreck would be awesome.Would be an awesome sleeper at the track.

You can buy a harness from PPE. Or make your own. As Scott said LB7 are the easiest to come by. I bought a 01 3500 2wd with 120k on it for 5000$ and drove it 3 hrs home. Gonna use it for my Repower. Good luck. Keep us posted.

I'd buy one if it's easier! I'm great in swaps but electrical is not my strong side. So I'd rather but one and move on to better things! Thx
