I have been little stumped with this truck I have chased wiring and fuses and grounds and can't find any issues there.
But let me back up customer of mine got a fass from a family member installed it and then said his truck started to sputter and die and wouldn't run after install. I drove to his house and upon looking he had just put a class 8 fass pump on that ran 20 psi
and it had the u0105 code ficm lost communication. So I drive to my shop and grabbed a spare of a core motor plugged it in and truck started then loped hard and died. I then towed his truck to my shop and took the pressure spring from my truck and put it in his got it running and no issues.
now 5 weeks later it just straight dies and won't start for him again and was giving the same U0105 code. I was outta town till now I got back and he had tried another ficm with no luck. He towed in and when I tried starting it nothing same code I put the ficm I originally gave him back on fired right up again no code no issues...... took it for a drive and went down bumpy roads and rodded the hell outta it and nothing no hiccups. Let it cool off cold started it and it sputtered once then ran perfect.
Has anyone else ran into something like this on a 05 lly? Grounds are good I've visually inspected that entire harness for shorts or rub threw marks and none are there. I even tried moving and pulling the connectors while it was running and it didn't do anything funny I hate to send it back to him but I'm little stumped
