Lol, I know that.....I just found it interesting how it melted like this.

I have seen my share of cracked pistons, but this is the first real melt down (with no crack/hole) I have seen.

I have seen another one close but not that bad , it was in a motor that had a head gasket problem and had been severly over heated. imagine the heat it takes to do that :baby:

I once melted the edges off of all my pistons on my turbo'd 4runner...but it wasn't that severe at all..just little chunks and pieces around the edges of all pistons :rofl:

lol kinda reminds me of blowing a weld off a piece of steel with a torch where the weld leaves and steel is unhurt

Most of the time you have those kind of issues you also have a spray pattern that is out of the bowl. That also causes excessive heat which in turn does melt pistons. i seen several dodges that looked that way.
