is there any downfall to removing the top intake plenum on a duramax. to my understanding they work kind of like a boost bottle. does anybody have any input on this. i noticed that after i removed mine my throttle response was worse. or is this in my head?

The resonator? Thing on top that says 6.6? Huge thread on it over on DP.... a lot of people remove it and cap it with a 2" plumbing cap. Did it on my LLY... gonna do it to my LMM tonight I think. Some say throttle response is better, some say just more turbo noise.... but no ones really said it hurts at all.

Throttle response will suffer if you didnt cap it. ;)
