Intake, and Exhaust Questions

So I have the LBZ mouthpiece, A afe 5" metal intake, and a 5" exhaust.. I want to delete my egr so the question is, I've searched and read many threads and haven't quite seen the answers I'm looking for.

1. Is it that big of a difference to do the 3" Y bridge, with delete pipe such as the proflow?
2. Would it be pointless to go that route and keep stock intercooler pipes?(When I had the fund I would buy new intercooler pipes)
3. If I did just the delete pipe, and passenger side intercooler pipe what kind of gains would I see?
4. I was looking at adding an LML manifold, Is it worth the 90 bucks?
5. What kind of EGT drop would be expected by adding those mods?
6. A decrease in boost because of opening up the air flow?

I plan to add a boost and pyro gauge soon, I have big plans for my truck so I'm looking at mods I can do now that will help keep the truck running cooler and more efficient, that will also be beneficial when I decide what turbo to put on it.

Thanks, Dylan

I'm not sure what pipe you have to run with the 3" y-bridge, but just give Rick at call at Profab and he will tell you what parts will work together (he has a short bridge and a FULL bridge). Generally temps will drop by 200 or so, I didn't notice any temp / power gains from just a blocked EGR to a deleted EGR system, maybe the dyno could tell but I couldnt. I just did the delete to free up some space...

If you upgrade the y bridge you have to replace the cold side pipe. I don't recommend replacing the hot side yet, if you ever upgrade the turbo an upgraded pipe will more than likely not fit. Do the egr delete and save your money for a turbo.... Preferably a big one:D

I was looking at the shorty bridge with intercooler tube.. But I thought it'd be right in the way of the intake when I get my 4xx charger. I want a big single :thumb:

After doing some looking... It seems the bridge and intercooler tube hurts performance on stock charger.. So I think I'm just doing the delete tube, and intercooler pipe, unless someone has more insight on the subject?

You'd see it if you popped the hood LOL. Well when I get a turbo kit, I am looking at trents s472, it says A modified Y bridge is needed and EGR delete.. If I buy a EGR delete will it work with this modified Y bridge?

dude, bottom line is get all your parts from 1 person. if you pu an all season y bridge it might not work with so and so's turbo kit. if you do go with trent he can help you with everything you need.

x2 your not gonna save any money by piecing it all together from different vendors. as said, some things mite not work, on the other hand if your good with a welder and are somewhat mechanically inclined then u can save some $$
