i am installing my dsp 5 switch but will not get the chance to have it flashed for a while. I need to make time to make the trip up to see Guy. So with that being said should i leave the wires OUT of ECM until i get there?

In or out, doesn't matter. I installed one on a friend's lmm and didn't get to flash the truck for about a week. No problems whatsoever. I say install it if you have a chance.
Yeah it doesn't matter, I kept mine plugged in for a week until I got to nhrda this past weekend..it was pretty much no operating until he added through PPEI tunes. And it was fine. Do you have the efi file on how to install it with pictures?
yea i already ran it all the way up to the ECU, just zip tied it off right next to it, just was not sure if it would try to load a tune that was not there.
