Help: installed lift pump...cant launch now?

so i put my ppe in tonight...all is working as it should the pump turns on and is pumping fuel she pulls great in the high rpms where it started to dog before and if your rolling and punch it she shifts and goes but now i cant build more then 10psi on the line when you try to launch at 10psi it does nothing for about 2 seconds then rips...what gives? same tune as before....haven't had a chance to log it yet

any chance the pump output pressure isnt correct and causing this?

look in your tune...Might have the fuel/tq at the line and your being limited now....

Was the tune designed with a lift pump in mind....?

thanks mike...im not sure...nick didnt know that i didnt have a pump so it could go either way...you would think that at the line with low RPM like that the pump wouldn't even matter.... but ill certainly check that. would you happen to know what table it is off hand?

You have to log it man , there is no way we can help you with out a log , I agree wirth Mike , probably a base torque or TLIQ issue , not sure why it would change with the lift pump but sometimes strange things happen .

went out this morning and tried again and this time it launched like a champ? i dunno i must of fed it after midnight or something:angel:. or maybe there was just some kinda air in the lines

il email my tuner just to be sure but im figuring it must of been some kinda weird fuel bug

i mean it ripped in the high rpms and i even tried driving with the pump off to make sure it really was "free flowing" and it drove fine....

im happy with the pump...hell i bought it from fidel for 120 bucks..cant beat that even if i only get one season out of it

true did you run yours straight or with a check valve setup...cause i had mine straight just wondering if it had a difference

i have had my PPE pump for 3 years I had one of the first ones as well... mine runs all the time:thumb:

Because they aren't fuel/air separates BAH BAH BAH. My pump hasn't missed a beat

I had a ppe now have an ADII cause it was a good deal but its leavin too cause im goin mitusa no more of that electric pump crap time for belt drive but opie isnt shippin til the first week in april and I can find one anywhere but straight from him so ima just wait I guess...but i will have the Ad up for sale soon

check valve for what seth? so if the pump dies i can still drive you mean?

Had a PPE, Best pump I ever had, lasted for a long time. Switched to a FASS 95 cause I was talked into it that it was quieter...nope, not quieter, and now having rail pressure problems. Picking a PPE pump up here in a few days to throw back on.
