install disk problem

my laptop will not read the efi install disk, but will read other cd's, so it just doesnt like the efi disk. I have successfully installed this same efi install disk on 2 desktops though. Were do I start looking to get the laptop to use the install disk........ I did install efi from the website, but I cant get the flashscan drivers to install.
