Is there any way to test a injector when its out to see if its leaking?
Here is the story, My buddy bought a 03 dmax at a auction some years back. The motor started up but filled the crank case with fuel fast. He had a spare motor and put it in the truck to resale. The motor has been sitting in his garage since. I want to put it in a truck for my son. I pulled v/c off and removed injectors.
A couple things I noticed:
*The v/c were off before (red gasket sealer)
*The right front rocker (bridge) between the two valves was off the front valve and rubbing on the injector?
*The right side injectors seem to have miss matched numbers on the injectors. *All the numbers on the left side seem to match.
*The external return lines look newer than the supply lines?
Not sure what to do at this point. Gonna call ohio diesel injection today and see it they can test the injectors? Can they? Is there a visual I can do?.
What number on the injector represents what version they are?
Thanks for any help?
