When your told you have a bad injector, what exactly is wrong with the injector. Dirty nozzle or what? Will injector cleaner solve the problem and which one to use. I use Lucas.

it means the injector is worn out(internals) its not flowing with in spec of the rest of the injectors. you can try running treatment and see if it helps. usually when you replace 1 bad injector the rest will fail in due time.

any info on your truck? lb7 presume

Thanks. How can the bad injector identified? Yes LB7. 2004 GMC, 134,000 miles. Smokes at idle, clears up at higher RPMs.

An EFI Live Flashscanner, GM TECH 2, or one of many quality scantools will tell you balance rates, the bad injector can be identified that way, but like someone mentioned above do them all, or atleast the 4 on the side you identified the bad injector. Having to tear it all apart again after you were just in there really sucks. Examine the feed lines and make sure they are nice and clean, if not put new ones. They tend to leak under the cover if they don't seal correctly.
