I would think CP3 or bad fuel on that year truck... only the 01-04s were bad about injectors. Search FPRV shim (fuel pressure relief valve) or look at the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) or the CP3 itself (the high pressure fuel pump) before I thought it was the injectors

06-early 07 trucks also sufferred from problems with the fuel lines collapsing where they go by the trans. Also make sure you have the latest operating system in the ECM as early ones would throw the P0087 code for no reason.

Try searching P0087 codes on here before you just throw another set of injectors at it... I have never heard of Real Diesel before, you get what you pay for...

And welcome to Duramax Diesels!

When it comes to injectors, the quality of the stock BOSCH is industry benchmark, so getting something "better" is not likely, getting somethimg as good is even difficult at times. Two sets of injectors on an lbz in a year means something else is happening, lbz injectors last and last. I would be willing to bet you have another issue. Rob is in idaho, idk about whats available to dmax owners in montana, find someone to data log for you, or at least get flow and return rate of yor injectors before changing them out!!!
