I have to have my injectors replaced (no warranty) but am not sure if I am still going to twin the truck, so is it worth it to put on bigger injectors without twins? Any help would be appreciated.
I am putting 40 over injectors in my stock turbo LLY this week, I think they will help a little now but will really be worth while at a later date with twins...
Bigger injectors would be worth doing. There could be more engine noise or a little worse idle quality than with stock injectors but those are things you should be aware of and expect to possibly have when doing big injectors. The benefits would be worth the possible negatives. It depends on if you pay attention to those kind of things. Then again you may not have a single dislike about them.
40-45% over is a great size for guys looking to make good power (600-800hp), and daily drive without having to run huge PW and timing. The bigger you go the more tuning it takes to make everything smooth - but I daily drive on my 100% over injectors.
I wish i would have done injectors sooner , alot of benifits with not many down sides . Drive ability was not lost what so ever with my 45% overs . a bit harder to tune out smoke though , it took some tweeking to not get it at part throttle when the converter was locked and boost was low but like i said easy fix just took some logging and tweeking the pluse table .
