So I'm putting a motor together with 475/stock twins and duel pumps. I'm torn on injector size between 60, 80, and 100s. The truck is going to be my frequent driver as I do have a spare beater so it may tow from time to time. What would HP limits 60s and 80s? the truck may also end up with a 72/483 on it down the road.

100's it's a lot better for your engine to run a smaller uS then a larger one when moving the same amount of fuel. And 60-100 are the same price I think

It's a deep can of worms Pete. I have a little time to decide while I wait on the motor but it's looking like 100s are going in. In a the event I get a bug up my ass for a 10 second pass the fuel will be available.

I have 60's and have seen 60's on a lb7 go 9's In the quarter mile. If you can swing it go 100's. Its easier to tune down bigger injectors then going bigger in the long run.

Who has gone 9s in the quarter on fuel with sixty overs?

Do you feel your 60s are limiting you?

Well it depends on what your final goal is. At the time I wanted my truck to run clean and make around 900hp. It made 900hp around 2800us. The same pulse on 100's made around 1000hp but was smokier on the street. I'm going to see how fast I can go with the 60's right now andthen bump back to 100's. I have a tune for 3000us for the 60's but never had a good dyno pull since it was surging on the big end

I'm not backing up his statement but what does it matter whether it was on spray or not. The injectors would still be fueling the fire. Josh went 10's in the van on spray on stock injectors but it still has to have the fuel to back it up

My setup will be very close to Harbin's. I have 60's for my engine as I don't want any smoke or very little... If Kyle can pull 900 ish with 60's that's good enough for me.

I have ran 30s, 45s, 65s, 100 and 200 over. I believe the best ultimate size considering performance, drivability and clean exhaust all around was either the 65s or 100. If towing heavy go smaller if that isn't a concern go 100.

I have ran 40's, 60's, and 100's. My 40's were super clean. I mean you had to try to make it smoke with the stocker/475 setup. It went 11.6@119 with a crap trans at near full weight with street tires. It was really a great setup all around. Ryan Funk went 11.0@125 on 60's and a single 475. He later on ended running a bunch of 6.90's in the 1/8 before he pulled the engine. Would have gone 10's easy on a stock motor and 60's

My truck will go 10's with 60's hopefully after Evan gets my trans lined out
