Noticed this the other day on the v2. What does it do? I hit program and nothing seemed to happen. Balance rates haven't changed.

I have no clue about the newer Duramax engines but I know on Ford's new 6.7 they have IQA numbers on top of the injector that have to be programmed into the PCM. Maybe the LML has this also? Only thing I could think of that the injectors would need programming for.

It's to ready and copy Injector Flow Rates from ECM to GPCM or vise versa. You can't input actual numbers like with a tech 2.

It comes in handy when replacing ecm's in LMM's.

Then what's the program function for?

You program whatever you read either the ECM or GPCM.

ie. You replaced the ECM and want the injector flow rates put on the replacement ECM. So you would read the GPCM then program the ECM.

So if I find someone with good balance rates on matched injector I could copy his and load it on mine

I wouldn't. I would put the flow rates number/code that is on the injectors in your truck. Not someone elses.

I tried putting different flow rates in mine to see if it would cure the balance rate issues I have too but it didn't make a difference. But I also have LMM injectors in my LBZ so can't say if it was a valid test. Whenever I input the flow rates off the LMM injectors I have into the tech 2 it would say invalid but it would still take the number and allow it to be programmed into the ecm.

I gotcha I guess ill just go to the dealer and have them program them all the same.
