i am in the process of changing my injectors using alldata for reference material......all is going well waiting for the injector puller that i ordered. i pulled the allen bolts from the holddowns and the hold downs is loose, but won't come out i don't want to force it............any suggestions?

x2 you could just use a pry bar to get them out. they should pop out easily once you remove the return lines and the nut holding the ijector hold down
thanks..........thats what i was thinking however i am courious how the injector tool will fit and work. i guess when i get it and try it ........it will explain itself.
one more issue i just learned is that if the injector sleeve comes out with the injector coolant will go into the cylinder. i only drained the resevior..............should i drain more out of the block and if so where is the drain plugs?
Drain is at the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side. It's a little plastic plug. To get the injectors out you can use a pry bar and use the head bolt as a fulcrum. They should lift right out.
thanks for all your help i used a brake spoon and they all popped out. the sleeves stayed in as well so no problem with coolant
if you have cups coming out with the injector you need to reseal them i would reseal all of them while i was in there...
yes. alot of people, even if the cups are still sealed and did not move, will pull the cups and reseal them. i didnt do it when i did injectors on a friends truck and it was fine. but i will be doing it when i have to pull my injectors
