I was at the dealer a couple of weeks ago because I thought I had an injector issue with all the white smoke. Turn out to be head gaskets.

While discussing the injector issue they told me about a new flushing method for the injectors that is turning out to be effective. They said they have done several and have been able to get the pressures back up to factory spec.

I asked if this was a factory flush method and they said it was something like BG or some other initials with a B as the first one.

I was going to let them do it but the injectors turned out to be in spec and were OK.

Have any of you heard anything about this?

i used bg products at my previous dealer...
it works well for about 50 miles.

Almost every truck i flushed came back with injector issues a short time after. I really liked the system in the beginning. You can watch the balancing rates before and after and there was a clear difference.

then they start coming back with injector or regulator issues... a little too common....

Was the BG stuff causing the problem?? Or were the failures just a byproduct of the cleaning??

I dont work there anymore, got tired of the BS, so it wont hurt my feelings if it's their stuff causing problems. I'm just curious as to if it does any good.

I had mine flushed every 20K miles, I had to replace the #6 injector at 102K:(

i honestly think the stuff cleans real well but what it cleans out before the injectors gets stuck in the injector.

i can't say what the cause was 100% but it was just too common to flush then replace.....

BG has excellent products !

flushes....ehhhh.... i feel they are a waste of money....
