Could someone explain how the injection system works.
What I am wondering about is when the main injection delivers it fuel at a given timing then when would the pilot injection deliver its fuel if the timing is the same.
Does the pilot injection add to the main injection.
Thanks Darryl

Well I will take shot.

With an LB7 you add them but it is more complicated then just adding tables.

Say you have a Main injection timing of 10*. The main shot starts at 10* BTDC (before top dead center) Now say your pilot table calls for 8*. That is how many degrees of rotation there is between the end of the pilot shot and the begining of the main shot. So at 18* the pilot would have just ended. Now to figure out where the pilot starts you need to either log the Pilot shot for degrees of crank rotation and add that to 18* or do the math by using the shot pulse size and rpm. I explained how to do that here. http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showpost.php?p=182991&postcount=2

On your LBZ the pilot should be timed in microseconds before main injection.
