Allison 5sp: info needed

want to get pressure readings off the trans. i take it its from the plugged port next to the spin on.
what thread is it. BSP or NPT?
and what pressures am i looking for at idle and in the revs.
would imagine would have better pressures when cold compared to hot too.

Yes it is next to the spin on. I am not sure what the thread is I know it is a bit odd and dose not come in many kits for checking trans pressure

I think it's a 10X1.5 metric thread with an O-ring seal. It isn't a standard adapter as it didn't come in my trans pressure gauge set.

It all depends on how your trans was setup when it was built. Stock is roughly 240-245 max out of lockup, and 140-145 in lockup. Built trans can run as high as 320 regardless of lockup. Idle should be around 120-150 IIRC unless you have a G solenoid, then it will drop down to about 40-50 at idle.
