In/Out CP3 shaft play

Hey guys i meant to ask this question the other day but i have my good ol trusty 187,000 mile modded cp3 thats still kickin but when i had it off i noticed some in and out play in the shaft. Its running fine no leaks or anything. Is that normal? I was gonna use it in a dual cp3 setup but if its about shot ill just go with a 12mm pump instead. Thanks

I don't recall mine having any significant in/out play when I pulled it off at 290k miles.

With the miles on the pump, and the shaft play, I would personally be inclined to go with the 12mm pump. I have a 12mm Exergy on my truck, and besides being a bit touchy to tune the FPR, it is a beast.

However, if you already have the dual CP3 kit, stick the new(est) pump in the valley, and then if this one takes a crap, it is easy to swap out.

Haha This is exactly what i was thinking. I run a single pump in a remote setup right now so i have the dual cp3 mount that i built and a hard line that i bent up for it but i dont have the controller. Have there been any longevity issues with the bigger stroker pumps or are they pretty reliable?
