I got mine from harbor freight for abt 90. The stand didn't droop any when the engine was out on it. Mine is not a side mount one though.

I've got six of the harbor freight stands in constant use for several years now, never had an issue with full weight motors. I use a 1/2" plate bolted to the motor mount area on the block, with a pipe cut @ 45* welded to it (14" long on the pipe). Hot water heater pans fit nice under the legs of the stand.

The Harbor Freight stand is stout. http://www.harborfreight.com/2000-lb-capacity-foldable-engine-stand-69521.html

I strapped a washing machine pan onto the legs to corral all the fluids, too. Worked very well.
That's the same one I have and yes, it's very stout. No issues with a fully dressed duramax. The only thing I had to do was take a grinder to the weld inside the tube on the stand that the engine adapter slides through. The weld was REALLY rough and made it pretty much impossible to torn over.

Bahahahahahaa central IL. If I keep this routine up I'm gonna have to build another. I have two o. Stands I e build. The grey side mount one and the first gen I built 6yrs ago that is a standard engine stand on steroids. Then the third motor is on a nice wood roll around but ya have to have the pans off the set it down. It's more for the parts motors, or the grenaded ones.lol
