Im Back!!!

well today is the day i will be getting my truck back.

for all of you that dont know what happened, in Aug before i left for Iraq i wanted to race one last time. i was trying to launch in 2nd to get a little faster. what ended up happening was my trans went back to 1st and pretty much took out first gear. had to replace almost everything in the trans but in turn made it even stronger then it was before thanks to Dustin at Diesel Addiction and Mike L. i also removed the stock turbo for what is in my sig. and after alomost a yr of having it installed my Mitusa Lift Pump.

after talking to Dustin this afternoon he told me my truck has a "sweet spot" around 80 and will break the tires loose and that my 60 psi gauge isnt enough for my large tune.

i will get videos up as soon as i am able to. and next month i amdriving from NC to MI so i will get some numbers for MPG if any one is interested.

Awesome man ! and i believe it about breaking the tires loose :cool2: just be careful on those stock rods for a bit or your fun will be short lived

HAHA oh yea, i am goig to try and stayaway from the big tune for about 3 yrs until i can build my motor i cant wait for tonight. its gonna be a fun drive home from his house

The truck is at Dustin's? he did all the work?... I don't trust that guy . Just kidding man Dustin has proved that he is a stand up guy and knows what he is doing with these trucks. I'm actually quite eager to see that setup run in that sweet NC air Congrats on getting back and having your truck ready for you

yea i know when he first came around with his tuning and what not there were some people that didnt like him, im sure there are still people out there. but he is a great guy to work with. we were in the Marines and worked together, so i trust him.

i will try to get some track numbers as soon as possible. this time i will just stay in 1st gear for launching

I'm happy for you!! I remeber when I came home to my truck. It wasn't driven in a year. I waited to do anything to it untill I got home. It's a great feeling!!

i drive up on the 31st or 1st but fly to Hawaii for 6 days and will be back in MI from the 9th to the 14th when i head back here to NC

so i stopped by Dustin's shop today and him and i go out for a spin in my truck. well i am driving around on my hot street tune and once or twice went to my old race tune. well he turns the nob for me to my new HOTT tune and says to me " i wrote it for a reason" at about 40% throttle i was at 30 psi and just gaining speed got up to 120 the fastest i have ever been i think. so i guess my 3 yrs of staying off it didnt work. but hey i didnt go WOT :rofl:
