A project you can do pretty quick. Took me 40 min start to finish. Tape line looks weird in the picture but I dont care. Need sand paper masking tape and herculiner. The trick to that stuff is sponging it on to get the right texture, dont roll it. Ill probably put on another few coats today. Its a nice cheap way to cover the absolutely f&*ked paint. Just thought Id share. You cant see it from the side of the vehicle either.

Yeah line-x wants alot to spray that area i guess its a pain. I had some leftover herculiner crap so went that route. Stuff works well for being like $20. Just have to apply it right and it wont come off.

Thats works.

How did you prep it? I figured I could just DA it with 150gr, then prep-solve it, then apply the herculiner. What sponge did you use to apply the herculiner?

150 is way too aggressive IMO. I always scuff with like 400 or 600 get it real clean with solvent. Then use a normal scotch brite pad to apply. Also make your tape line before scuffing. Then wipe a really thin layer or herculiner onto the paint. Once that's finished and really tacky after about 10 min apply the first coat. I sponge it on hard and pull away to create the nice even raised texture. Also keeps the little particles from gathering in one spot. It shouldn't take a ton of herculiner as the thin coats stick better. Then do the other side the same. Then come back to the first side and out one more coat on. Then after about 10 min pull tape off in line with the body to get a nice crisp line.

Cool...thanks!

I thought 150grit may be too aggressive, but I recall LineX or one of them reccomending 80-150grit.

150 on a DA can get you to bare metal quick. I'd just run a block down it a fee times. Either way it'll be fine. It's by no means a precise application.
