Would it be possible to have a page that pops up when a new member is signing up asking them to use the search function first. And maybe we could come up with the top 10 things commonly asked with links they can click on.

And a "I am not a robot" thing to click

-Whats the bore and stroke of the duramax?
-what year(s) was the true LLY?
-what engine code used piezoelectric injectors?
-how many holes does a LBZ injector nozzle have?
-whats the difference between an LLY & LBZ reluctor wheel?
-What voltage does the LB7 injector run at?
-what year was the DPF introduced for the duramax?
-What is GMT800?
-what is the wheel bolt pattern on a 2014 2500HD
-ect

It could be like the three security questions needed to reset your password

It could be something like a multi choice question where you check a box to answer

Then if they get it right it redirects them to the advanced search page

Although a good idea that's too specific, I'm sure there are lots of people in here now that don't know half those questions :roflmao:

Completely agree! Tired of the site trending the way it has been....

Maybe I’m missing something, but this site has been dead lately. If these questions that seem repetitive to us seasoned members keep the advertisers advertising and the site afloat. I would much rather that then see it go away. Pats a great guy, but I’m not sure he willing to lose money just so we have somewhere to hang out.

My Favorite dirt forum that had a ton of tech is in shambles. First it was spam, and now the hackers have gotten in. It’s almost unusable.
