EFILive IAT Compensation Table not working?

I have LB7 Federal OS 15189044 (then turned into DSP2 OS 03904401).

I wanted to add some timing when the intake air was hot. I populated "{B0917} Injection Timing IAT" (see screenshot), then set "{B0918} Injection Timing IAT Multiplier" (see screenshot).

I logged the truck, and the timing was exactly where it was before. The intake temp was 37C (24C = 0, 40 = 0.5, so 37 should be 0.41), and the timing added was 2 degrees (5 degrees * 0.41). However, the recorded timing in the log was straight out of the base timing table. It should have been 2 degrees higher.

Am I doing something wrong, or does this table not work?
Should I be running a different OS?
Any insight is appreciated!

Ross fixed a number of those peripheral tables a few years ago for LLY. If I were making a logical guess, it is not working.

FWIW, I would not be doing what you are doing. A hotter air product leads to less combustion delay. If you are advancing timing with increasing IAT, you are pushing closer to harmful CP spikes. We retard timing with increasing IAT.

So any solution besides going to a LLY? That seems a but much for my situation! Though external injectors would be nice, I can't justify the cost at the moment.

As for advancing/retarding the timing, you may be right. I was just starting to play with the values and see. My base timing is very mild, so +/- 5 degrees wouldn't do any harm. Initial tests seemed to indicate hotter air does lead to less combustion delay, but much slower combustion. My thought was advancing the timing a little would (hopefully) put the pressure peak back toward its original location. However, more testing is needed, of course. If I can get this table working, that is...

So should I try and get in contact with Ross and/or post this on the EFI forums?

On a slightly related note, do these tables function in the LBZ? Because I am planning to put a LBZ in this truck eventually, but if the LLY has more functional tuning, I may do that instead.

Connecting the dots, my guess is that it is a dead table that Ross can revive. He will probably remember the LLY tables, since we bugged him about it to exhaustion until he gave in and looked at it. If it is what I think it is, it may be an easy fix. He will have to revive his own memory on how he corrected it, and probably send you a new calz definition file for your os.

You may have to get in his cue for awhile, he is busy with other stuff.
