If you have to ask then its probably a lot bigger project then you want. Look into putting a 12v cummins in it. Its a much easier swap than a dmax/Allison.

Body wiring harness, fuel lines, transfer case, axles, steering column, dashboard, ECM, TCM, radiator, intercooler, brake booster, accelerator pedal, and 4x4 module/switch. Just to start with.

Some of these yes, but not all of it.

What he said. It is NOT easy, and not for the average weekend warrior either. This will give you an idea. http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?10142-95-SUBURBAN-to-a-01-DURAMAX-ALLISON

you may also want to consider the smaller 4 cylinder ISUZU diesel for it as well. http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?32348-Isuzu-4BD2T-diesel-swap-into-Suburban

stock axles will work if you dont beat on it, definitely NO need to swap steering columns, body harnesses, dashboards, and brake booster (assuming the blazer was diesel to begin with?).

All that stuff is fine...waste of time to change that, but as Ferm said, it is a big job.
