Well I survived Ike!

NO WATER
=
NO FUN

I finally got up and went home to Freer, TX. last night at 11 PM. I can't survive with out power like that. Take away the power and water not working it would have made for a fun party night .

we live on the west side of town. it was not to bad. a lot of trees fell. our fence is gone. saw a brand new surban smashed by a tree. i will post a pic when i get a chance. a couple of houses had trees fall on them.

oh yeah. alot of billboards and signs are gone. and most traffic lights are on the street still connected.

not too many windows are smashed on my side of town in thhe big glass building.

West Houston and NW Houston isn't really to bad. North towards the woodlands and the East side got it pretty good. South around Kemah, San leon, galveston, Boliver is pretty much F'k up! The storm surge that came in was really hard to believe. Did alot of damage, and i'm really surprised there wasn't more casualties.

I've got chainsaws and generator headed to folks house tommorow, to start cleaning up on the East side. A tornado came threw and tore the shit out of everything.

Im glad you guys are safe down there. Ive never ben in anything like that. I was in a earthquake ounce in southern Cali but slept thru it.

my inlaws said they heard 1 to 2 weeks

back when Andrew hit south Florida I was without power for 2.5 weeks.

No running water either.

Good to hear you're ok.

We were on vacation in Destin FL and headed back Friday. Ocean was a little angry the last 2 days. Got home to Ohio and the winds of Ike got us good. 75 mph winds were not expected here. 600,000 still without power, including my parents farm and my work.
