I pulled my motor today, but managed to ruin the drivers side motor mount (Split Rubber) and also took a chunk out of the aluminum plate between the bellhousing and the block. I don't know the technical name for it but a small piece broke were the bolt goes, nearest the starter. Am I best off to get these parts strait from GM or does some one here have a better suggestion? Any opinions on welding the aluminum plate? Seems like theres enough room were I could gouge out the broken piece and weld it back together?
so it really does not surprise me at the cost of these adapters. Thats what I get for being in a rush and forgetting a bolt in the bell housing:banghead: What about the motor mount? Can you get a better price on these Henry? And for anyone wondering I put a jack stand under the motor mount to balance the motor when it was on the ground, The motor shifted when I was attempting to remove the balancer and split the rubber inside the mount
