I just purchased an extra ECM for my 05 (LLY) I'm looking for suggestions on where I can get a couple of tunes. The ECM was part of a package deal with EFI V1 so the ECM is registered to the V1? At this point I'm interested in a tow tune with turbo braking plus a mileage tune. I have an FE9 truck in Calif, but still would like the EGR blocked as well. I'm not planning on racing the truck, but I do admit I enjoy the extra power gained from just the few add-ons mods so far....Any help would be appreciated. I can ship the ECM out next week if needed, but since this is an extra ECM I'm not in any rush. Any other suggestions for additional mods would be great. I am planning on a lift pump next year, and also looking at Suncoast Hoods or the Banks CAI with the air scoop...If my job hold out I'm also looking at the Banks Larger Intercooler as well. I use the truck mostly for towing....usually in 100 + temps through the Calif/Arizona deserts....so far no issues regarding over-heating...

If you got the ECM with EFILive, then there is no need to send it out to program it, you can do it yourself.

You can download the EFILive software from http://www.efilive.com/ (download and install both V7 and V8). If it is already registered to the V1 (probably is), then that's it, you're set! Although you will want to download the stock tune out of the ECM in your truck, and use that as the base for your tuning.

Look in the tune library here and see what they have, as well as at the diesel place. Also, someone may share a LLY tow tune here. I won't be much help with the LLY, since I have a LB7...

The only laptop that I have is a work laptop that encrypts all programs. If I plug the efi into my laptop it wants to encrypt all files/programs....Which has a chance to destroy all files/programs. Currently I don't have the bandwidth to learn EFI, so I'm willing to rely on experienced EFI programmers....I'm planning on removing my original ECM to keep my stock programming and just plug it in every (2) years to pass Calif smog tests.
