Can anybody help me? I've got a tune for a 06 LLY that I need to script over for my 06 LBZ.

I need a stock tune with the OP System #12616698 to start the script from.

Also, is this ok?

Thats weird. It say a LLY in the VIN Section of the tune

I know it goes by VIN, but a LLY vin wouldn't be put into a LBZ tune would it be?

Hopefully someone else will chime in. As I'm not the tuner of the family. But, I do know 6698 is an LBZ tune.

I believe you! :D

Do you have a stock tune with that op system Kat?

If so, would you mind sharing? Thanks!

My LBZ is a 6698.

The tune I got is OS# 6698. My stock is 6128. I just scripted the new tune from the stock OP System Kat me and applied that script to my Stock and saved it and loaded it.

Now my end result is the other thread with that noise.

Did I do this situation correct? or?

It sounds like you scripted it correctly, but did you check what was changed in the history tab? some funny stuff can happen when you script tunes over. You might wanna try and compare the new scripted tune to your stock tune and see if anything may have been changed that shouldn't.

I have scripted 6128 OS's into my 6698 with no issues but never vice/versa. This may be the cause of your other issue.

If the tune you want is a 6698 OS, just cut/paste the tables you want to change rather than script it and see what happens.

Scripting sometimes has strange side efffects.

What's the VIN code for that engine, is it a "D"? In 2006 they made that crossover LLY that looked like an LBZ? Just checking if your stock OS is 6698 like they said that's LBZ. Just a thought.

My truck is a LBZ. That was the first thing at looked at in the dealer parking lot! :D

As far as this tune issue, I'm stumped!

All the history seems to check out.

Does this noise seem to be a turbo vane issue or the EGR?

You can unplug the EGR to see if it eliminates it.

Ask the person you got the tune from if it does it on his/her truck?

It's his daily driver. Runs good.

This is what I did:

I copied all my Vane Tables from my current "semi hot" tune and put it to this new one and it did fix the noise problem.

But, in the 35% throttle range I have to kick to 75% to get the truck to pretty much even go when I'm on a hill. ( I actually didn't think I was going to make it ).

Needless to say, this tune does need some work

Thanks everybody for your help!
