My step dad used to be a trucker and in the winter he would put 5 gals of gas in and the rest diesel. The gas thins the diesel.id probably dump a gal of tc-w3 2 stroke in it and run itafter you run 4 or 5 gals out retop it with diesel to keep thining the gas thats in there.

Thats no good! :( I almost did that at a BP station. The gas nozzles were green and diesel was black. Opposite of what I'm used to. Hit the diesel button and tried to pump but nothing came out! Wtf!? Then I look. Thats when I realized I had the gas nozzle in and I was selecting diesel. Luckily no gas was pumped. I knew at that point I needed my morning coffee.

So... What all happens when you do run a diesel on gas? How much shit has to be replaced?

I believe with the ratio I would have also just added about a gallon of two stroke oil and ran it out. I would have liked to hear if it caused or would have caused issues with the emission devices.

Anyway speaking of just this,my wife calls me up about two years ago ,she was at a gas station filling up the Audi. She says "whats going on the pump nozzle wont fit in the tank neck" ?

I'm like what and baffled for moment and proceed to ask her what color is the pump handle? Agitated she ask why ,what does that matter? I ask is it green? Yes

I said your trying to put diesel in instead of gas!!! Silence and says no wonder the pump handle was so slimy and heavy!! :roflmao:

THANKFULLY it was a large nozzle pump ,I've seen them standard gas size before. That would have been a very expensive problem!

I wonder if insurance would cover it?
