I never bothered checking craig's list for duramax stuff till a few weeks ago when a buddy of mine bought a good LB7 for 600. I found some deals.
Deal 1 dude bought an LB7 for the bottom end and listed the heads for 150. I emailed, then called him. He told me 100 and come get them. I get there and they are complete heads, injectors, manifolds, rocker covers and all. I pay him and load them up. He says if I want he other 'crap' please take it. the 'crap' was the whole top end, FICM wire harnes, turbo, you know, crap.
Deal 2 a different guy had an LBZ listed, ad was a little old so I didn't figure he would have it. I emailed him and he still had it. He said the dealer told him he cracked a piston when he was towing with a big tune. the listing was for 500. When I went to look at it, he mentioned besides some scammer posing as a priest, I was the only one to call on it. I haggled him down to 300.
I'm so happy, I just had to share. I'll be starting a build here in a month or so.
