So this morning walking out if my house to go to work and notice my center console was open. Open the door to see glove box emptied onto the floor and all contents from the center console on the seat. Peek into my wife's truck to see the glove box contents on the seat also. Her passenger window was broken and my back passenger window smashed in. Must be kids cause my fish finder monitor was under the back seat and xrt pro and both were left. They took a iPod and a iPhone out of my truck. And a iPod out of my wife's suburban. We think they were going through her truck and saw a loaded 45 mag and got scared cause they left her truck in a hurry leaving the GPS and a computer behind. When the cops showed up 2hrs an 45 min after I called them the officer walked up took no prints and wrote a half ass statement. And said welling not likely they will be caught. That was my day. Oh and they tried to pry the suburban open with a pry bar so that was nice of them. I wish I would have caught them in the act.

I feel you brotha, I'm stationed on 32nd street in San Diego and live out Chula Vista. This all happened in November but I was taking the turbo out for a rebuild and throwing in ppe up pipes so I had the truck sitting in my apparent parking lot for about a week and they broke into it and stole my busted CD player and sub. I had all my go fast parts in the back seat as well but they didn't take any so I just counted my blessings and bought a new double din and sub.

Main thing that upsets me is the pics of when my daughter was born was on the iPhone and all the pics of when my twin daughters were born (which we lost both of them shortly after birth) were all on there I hope I saved them to the computer but haven't worked up the nerve to check the computer for the fear of losing those pics scares me.

Oh yeah forgot to mention they also took the keys to my boat. They probably thought they unlock the tool box on my truck and could come back at a later time. All it had keys for was the boat and the storage lot where the boat is locked up at (on base)

It will catch back up with them seems to always do when you have sticky hands

Honestly i had to just count my blessings that they didnt steal my truck. I live so close to the boarder that i probably would have never seen it again and end up falling into a deep depression and becoming an alcoholic homeless person.

cheer up though at least they didnt break into your home and put your family in a sketchy situation. That can leave shocking memory's for kids or a wife when they see some clown in a ski mask breaking into your home.

I am sorry this happened to you. While at a nice restaurant a few weeks ago with an out of town sales rep, my truck was broken into. Punched the lock through and cracked the color matched door handle. Must have gotten scared because they didnt take the toolbox, 10" kicker solo baric, or the amp. Not even my Oakleys. All that aside... I had to learn from it. Don't leave anything in your vehicle you can't easily replace.

In your case my friend, those pictures are worth 10 times any iPod or gadget. Hell even a boat. If you stop and think about it. Memories and reminders of will last your lifetime. Material things slowly depreciate and become obsolete. I have not backed up my iPhone in a while...I will do so promptly. We have to take something positive from this and move on.

Sorry for the novel and if I came off as giving a lecture, not my intent. Keep your chin up:thumb:

Sorry to hear that man. I've been in your position too many times it sucks. I've even been mugged on a street corner by 3 black dudes.(I'm not saying race had anything to do with it) and I never heard from police ever again about any of them.

On a side note only 20% of these types of crimes get solved. Also fingerprinting has proven to not be an effective practice because only 10% of the time do they get a useable print and the chances of getting a match are even lower.

Cops took a few pics and serial numbers for the ipods and iphone

A few years back someone broke into my parents house and destroyed it. Emptied the contents of the fridge and cabinets onto everything. And broke all glass and knocked over antiques. Turned out to be some kind of gang initiation.

Only the factory thing neighbors didn't hear nothing though. Now it's time for a alarm with a pager
