So some of you guys from the other forums might have seen this before.

I purchased a V2 on ebay a few weeks ago for a pretty decent price. Well the auction stated the item was new and only opened for pictures.

I thought great you know, thats what I want.

Until I opened up the box and plug the V2 into my laptop and see what is below in the picture.

So my blood immediately starts to boil....I emailed the person and got nothing back for about a day which pissed me off even more. So I opened a dispute against them.....still nothing for about another day. So I highered the dispute to a claim.

The next day I got something from them, saying they had plugged it into their truck but couldn't get it to work so they were trying to sell it.

Called bullshit on them again, because it has 2 VINs saved. In the orginal email I told them I either wanted $200 for the licenses or I wanted a full refund.

They originally agreed to the $200 thinking they were going to dump the V2 off. BUt the next day I got another email stating they were just going to do a full refund and that they were having some family issues (like I care).

Its been 2 days now and nadda....no money or response after I told them the full refund was fine and I was waiting on refund. Emailed them again this morning...just playing the waiting game I guess.

Should have just bought a full brand new version instead of trying to get a good deal.....Live and Learn I guess.

Maybe one of these days I'll get some money.

Lol if anyone lives near Salyersville, KY and wants to pay them a visit for me.....I'm only about 6-7 hours away....But I will make the trip if I have too.

If I was you I would check with EFILive. Maybe it's a stolen unit? At that point it will be useless to you.

hope youget it figured out man.

Kinda funny they burned 2 licenses and said they didnt know how to use it. Sounds fishy. I agree with Kat, ask EFI if it could be stolen.

I think we need a thread to post serial numbers of Parts that are stolen, then people could make a quick check to see if they are buying stolen products....

Well the only way I could see it not working for them, is if they bought it used to and the licenses were already used.

But I do know where they live and even what they look like....thank you facebook!!! Technology these days.....love it.

I will get my money back lol.

yeah i did....and they agreed to pay back...just waiting on them to actually do it.

From looking at the page, it looks they have until the 14th to do something or its automatic.

I'd say the thing that pisses me off the most is, even if they are telling truth and couldn't get it to work....

why the hell would you try and sell to someone with the false pretense that its new...

Its a very aggravating situation and makes me wonder what in the hell is this country coming to nowadays...:(

yeah I made a dispute with both paypal and ebay. Just playing the waiting game now. At least a buddy let me borrow his PPE hot+2 for the time being until I can get this resolved and EFI in.

My little sister bought a ps2 from Ebay. (several yrs ago, when they were hard to get. ) When the package arrived, there was a ps1 inside. They filed a complaint, and paypal refunded their money. Florida police went to the sellers house, and he had several ps1's, but no ps2's, although he had several listed on ebay for sale. He was arrested and went to jail. Ebay doesn't seem to put forth that kind of effort anymore.

John,

I've sent you a PM. Your unit has not been flagged as stolen in our system.

Are you able to check the ebay listing - technically your unit does have 2 available licenses - they are transmission licenses NOT engine licenses, so it may be worth double checking and tripple checking the wording of the listing.

Cheers
Cindy

What if someone sold it to them under those pretenses? Either way bud I just hope you get your coin back.
