I had a EMG test ! ...............WTF

Today I had a EMG test. I was under the impression that it would be a few patches and a few small shocksBOY was I wrongAfter enduring what John Rambo went through on the bed soprings in shock treatments , It wasn't good enough. The DR broke out the needles! This thing was not a needle but a probe that was about 2.5 inches long and had a wire coming out of it! I asked " HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS?" Her response was,"only 4 times" Well .....let me tell you, after it was 3/4 in calf muscle and her foot working a pedal pushing current through me like DR Frankenstein ! She said just relax! I said "Come closer and Ill show you RELAX!" After she held and twisted my leg and tortured me like a Russian prison camp. I was like 3 more times! She said OK Ill make it quick ! I guess her version of QUICK is just a tad faster than Steve Cole releasing the PLIII. I was subjected to 3 more of these alien probing shock treatments. I said to her !"Know I know why you do not tell people what your going to do as they would bring their guns ! The Russians were kinder I think !

I feel for ya Chris. A few years ago I had a motorcycle accident and hurt my leg. After a few weeks and the swelling went down it still felt bad so I went to see Dr Lombardo at the Jobe clinic.
He has me lay down and starts twisting my upper and lower left leg at the knee which almost had me in tears. He then had me jump up and down on that leg 20 times. Layed down again and he started the twsting. Then I had to do the jumps again. His final diagnosis was I had play in the knee. No Shit. He recommended whirlpool treatment. I needed a cain to leave his office after I walked in with no problem. I never went back.

Few weeks ago when i crushed my right ankle, doc looked at it and jabbed his finger at it and ask if it hurt! WTF do ya think! Mom was with me (couldn't drive) and if not my leg might have winced into him! An the X-ray technician kept grabbin it too, good thing i was a lil druged up!

I'v had 5 emgs down in the past 4 years in both arms and shoulders and chest and all the way down to my hands and fingers, i just take a few pills and close my eyes, I just had a 7" needle stuck from mid chest into my rotor cup and a die shot into it that hurt like a mo fo .

No kidding. That is the gayest thing I have ever heard. I've had electric shock with the pads for rehab at physio before on my shoulder, knee and back, but I was in control of the strength so any pain I was in was my own doing.

Mike, that sounds like a pretty piss poor doctor to me.

GF: "No"

GF: "No"
Doc: "Interesting!" (click, click, click) "How about now?"
GF: "No"
Doc: "Very Interesting!" (click, click, click, click, click, click, click, zap) "How about now?"

Doc: "But I saw you jump!"

True story, I was there to hold her hand during the testing. Lot of good I was doing.

X2, I had the tests done too, my crappy plant/workers comp was fighting the tests so sent me to one of their docs. I'd been running a printing press for years and had so real tough skin. the doc had to use both hands on needle to try and jamb it in, most of the time it bent :rofl:. they had a lot of fun and he got help to try and do it. I flunked but workers comp denied it so sick pay took over and had it cut on a couple of weeks later. My CTS was bad enough I could pick up things so hot you could smell/see the skin burning and not feel it.

Mine is not CTS. Mine is some form of Neropathy that is going on ! Its not in one place all the time. Pins and needles with burning skin. can be on the legs , arms. Lots of Shoulder aches too. It waxes and wanes too. I have had a battery of other tests done in the last year too. MRI to the noggin CAT scans , and a few more!

Where is HOUSE when ya need him !
