I gotta get the tires swapped yet and the old one goes to town. I'm hoping the EFI starts a little better in this cold azz weather than the carb one did. When is EFI Live gonna work for ATV's? :D

:) ignore all the oil-dry on the floor. The old man and I redid the bottom end on one of our tractors over the weekend. I hate oil on my floor!

missed a spot. HA! :D

Looks nice. I like the camo of the "old" one though. I'd like to have an ATV but don't have the extra funds right now. Looks like you are a fan of Arctic cat.

We only have 3 dealers around here. Arctic Cat, Yamaha, and Kawasaki. I got my old AC when they were the first v-twin with fully independant suspension. Now they're all about the same, I just stuck with the same dealership. I'm not a Yamaha fan at all and I have no probs with Kawasaki but they are basically the same thing (suzuki motor).

Is that the new 1000cc?

I wish it was the 1000. Thats what I was waiting for but it seems they are kind of hard to come by. They are silver only. Cat came out with a program this month: 3.9% financing 60month term note, 2 years warranty, and $300 off '07 and previous models. I got the '07 700, windshield, HD front bumper, and hand and thumb warmer for $4,000 trade. If I wanted an '08 700 it was $5K--same everything except the racks are weaker on the 08's. If I wanted to wait for the THUNDERCAT 1000 it was still gonna cost me at least $7000 to trade. I decided to wait a year or two on that one. :D

I like the EFI so far and with EFI comes tuneing:cool2:
Yeah, I havnt decided on which chip I want yet though! They say the suzuki's have a low-end torq limiter that can be removed with certain chips---I think I need that removed!

Thanks. I got the tires swapped today and the 650 is gone. I never got any pics with the 27" tires on it yet but I like it. :D The BIG PLUS is that it starts in this cold ass weather!

It's always nice to see fellow enthusiasts get new stuff!!! But WOW that's alot of green. Maybe Simon can give you tips on how to spackle paint it to make it all black!!:joker:
But a green bike is better than no bike IMO!! What does that 700 tip the scales at? Have you weighed it yet??
I heard the new Kawi is a 700 EFI as well and only weighs 700lbs!! Bout time for those that like to tune but don't know how to fiddle with needles and seats!!:D

I tell you what, with that green it sure gets the cow's attention! I just went up and down the road with it today to actually get 1 mile on the odometer (its got 6 now :D) and the cows took off running for the yard. My old one didnt even faze them before.
They had one the same color as my last one and one red one. I wanted to be different.... My snowplow is the same color---maybe it will be too much green?
I would guess its 700ish pounds. I know they told me the diesels were 800lbs. I almost got one of those but I'm afraid of cold weather starting. I need the thing to run when I need it when we start calving.
I hear ya on the tuning. I think VDI is the way to go on the EFI's but I havnt looked into it much yet. I figure i better leave it stock until after the 1st oil change at least. :D I have too much goin on with the pickup right now anyway!

Hmmnn no sneaking up on those cow parties now huh?? And you know they have them!!

Myself, when I get water or dirt in my fuel, I like to be able to pull my bowl off dump it out, clean the seat, throw it back in and ride'r home. But I ride a little harder and deeper than some of the others I ride with though. It sounds like you actually use yours for work though so ya the EFI would be great for the cold weather starting. Especially when you need it to.

I was with a buddy with a new Can-Am who got a little water in his fuel and was overheating and the bike TOLD HIM to Limp Home!! And I'll tell you, 2800rpm max and belt drive is lame. That's when I said no to the EFI!! I don't ride nothing that tries to tell me what to do!!

Hmm, thats a very good point. I actually put an inline fuel filter on the one I traded in. I will make it a point to do that on this one if there isnt one yet.
As for water, you got me there. I guess I never had much of a problem with it before, I hope I dont now. I never go that deep into anything. If there is something that deep around here, you will be stuck in it more times than not--and usually alone at that. I snorkeled my airbox and belt exhaust on the old one too up to my pod but I never thought about being clear over my gas cap that deep. :D

A little light come on saying water in the fuel sometimes. Filter will just plug off in others. I guess just do what I do and carry gas line anti-freeze water remover stuff with ya. Saved many a bike from being left on the trail in my experiences.

To repeat what the Yamaha service manager said to me and my buddy when he accused my buddy of swamping his wolverine which required a top end rebuild with 100hrs on it, he said "these things aren't sea doos ya know".

The look on my buddies face was priceless when he said that-I thought he was gonna punch the service guy right in the neck LOL!!
